Rabbi Hershel Matt was a unique and exemplary rabbi in our community. When he passed away in December 1987, it was a loss that reverberated throughout Klal Yisrael. To commemorate his 20th Yahrzeit, a gathering was held at the Highland Park Conservative Temple - Congregation Anshe Emeth, on December 23, 2007.
